2024 Light of Hope Breakfast

Join Child Advocates - Denver CASA for our annual Light of Hope breakfast! April is Child Abuse Awareness Month, and a crucial time for us to amplify the stories of the children and youth we serve.

At the breakfast, we will also award our Catalyst for CASA award to an outstanding CASA Volunteer who has provided extraordinary advocacy for Denver's children over the past year. We can't wait to gather and share our impact, celebrate our volunteers, and raise critical funds to support Denver's children, youth, and families.

We are thrilled to announce our keynote speaker, Dr. John "Push" Gaines. Dr. Gaines overcame incredible odds as a child and now shares his story of resilience and hope with classrooms, school districts, and businesses across the country. You can learn more about Dr. Gaines's incredible work here.

Event Details

To access the Sturm Grand Pavilion, please enter through the Sie Welcome Center on 13th Avenue. The Pavilion is up the grand staircase past registration desk on your left after entering the building. There is also elevator access to the Pavilion across from the registration desk. A map of the Denver Art Museum campus can be found here. 

Breakfast will be served buffet style, with vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. If you have any life-threatening allergies, please e-mail [email protected] as soon as possible. After the event, if you are interested in attending the museum free of charge upon its opening at 10:00AM, please stop by the registration desk on the way out to receive a sticker allowing you access to the museum.

Understanding that April weather in Denver can be hard to predict, we will have a complimentary coat check at the event.

Street parking is available, as are nearby parking lots including the Cultural Center Complex Garage at 12th Avenue and Broadway and the Denver Justice Center Parking Garage on N. Delaware Street between West 14th Avenue and West 13th Avenue. Accessible drop off and pick up for the museum is also available on 13th Ave. between Broadway and Bannock.
